Mtv's '16 And Pregnant' Unwelcome In Tinley Park

When Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki heard MTV Officials at Andrew High School declined this summer to allow MTV's cameras on campus, principal Bob Nolting said. "There was a request made in August for (Andrew) to allow them to shoot on campus regarding a young lady they may be featuring in their show," Nolting said. "We denied that request and have not worked with them or the family any further." Nolting said the family "obviously has the right to Farrah news make whatever choices they want to make with regard to how they conduct their family business" but he was not comfortable with filming at the school. A reality show crew could be a distraction on campus, and the show "has nothing to do with her getting a good education," Nolting said. MTV spokeswoman Melissa Barreto declined comment on local officials' chilly reception to the show, which chronicles a five- to seven-month period in a teenager's life "as she navigates the bumpy terrain of adolescence, growing pains, rebellion, and coming of age" while pregnant, according to the series' website. The program offers "a unique look into the wide variety of challenges http://test.imperiavip.ru/blogs/post/8706 pregnant teens face," including marriage, adoption, religion, gossip, finances, graduating high school and finding employment, MTV said. Although the teenagers face challenges and struggles, they have "the dedication to make their lives work, and to do as they see fit to provide the best for their babies," the network said on its website. Michael Papandrea, who licenses space at the train station from Tinley Park and owns a separate Parmesans location in Frankfort, said MTV filmed a dinner segment between the teen and her mother at the restaurant's Frankfort location.
